“This beachfront hotel strikes me as a balanced choice, particularly for those seeking a Skegness getaway with family or golf in mind. The inclusion of an 18-hole golf course designed by James Braid definitely elevates its appeal for enthusiasts. Despite some noise concerns, the on-site restaurant and various room options, including family-friendly accommodations, stand out as considerable advantages.”

Review summary
Based on recent reviews

The North Shore Hotel is often praised for its excellent location, a short walk from Skegness and right on a stunning sandy beach, where some guests have even spotted a Kingfisher. Guests appreciate the good-sized rooms, some offering lovely sea views, and the convenience of the large, free car park. Many find the on-site pub a highlight, serving excellent, generously portioned meals, although some have found the restaurant options not entirely to their taste.

Acceptable Stay with Noticeable Flaws

adequate room sizechipped bath panelripped quilt cover
The room was an adequate size.
The bath panel looked chipped, and its condition concerned me. The window frame was old with chipped paint, lowering the overall impression of maintenance. I thought the quilt cover had a rip.

solid spot near the beach

free parkingquality mealnice bar
i found the location excellent. free parking was available, a real plus. the bar areas were nice and served decent meals for reasonable prices. i did notice limited space outside for drinks in the sun, though.
the room got very hot, and the mattress felt uncomfortable. i could hear creaks throughout from the floor. it was generally quite noisy making sleep difficult.
Dining

food was generally good. big portions meant good value. i saw people enjoying meals in the bar and restaurant. service was available throughout the day and into the evening.
